Scott County, Iowa Warrant Search
Scott County warrants are considered public pursuant to the Iowa Open Records Act, codified in Iowa Code Chapter 22. However, there are certain exceptions to the act. For instance, search warrants are generally sealed and confidential until they are executed and returned to the issuing court per Iowa Code Section 803.13. Similarly, initial arrest warrants and other types of warrants may also be restricted from public access until they are served.
Notwithstanding, interested persons may conduct searches for Scott County warrants through the County Sheriff’s Warrants page. The page contains information about active warrants issued between 7 days and 18 months ago, as well as warrants served within the last 30 days. Alternatively, record seekers may use the Iowa Courts Online Website to find warrants issued in existing court cases.
